Our goal is to support children's love of learning. There are good reasons for teachers to avoid terms like "good job", although this can sound counter-intuitive.

Why wait?
It's easy to understand why parents want their toddlers to learn to use the toilet. Changing diapers is a drag; no one is a big fan of this parenting chore. Why not do everything you can to get the show on the road? Why wait and let your child take the lead?
As the owner of a preschool, parents often share with me that choosing a preschool for their beloved young child is a stressful decision. It's so true.
Before Fall of 2012, the State of California public school system required that your child be five by December 2nd of the Kindergarten year. As of Fall (2012), all of that will change. The cut-off date will now be earlier by one month each year until 2014-15, when children will need to be 5 years old by September 1st in order to enter Kindergarten. In the Fall of 2012, if your child turns 5 by November 1st, they will be eligible to enter Kindergarten.
